Furniture Reuse Organisations
If you have good quality furniture that you no longer need, such as sofas, wardrobes, mattresses etc. you can donate it to one of York and North Yorkshires furniture reuse organisations who will offer it to someone else for reuse. Some furniture reuse organisations will also accept electrical equipment and appliances as long as they are in good working order.
Before donating furniture please check that the items are safe, clean and in good condition. If furniture and soft furnishings such as cushions, pillows and padded seat covers are accepted they must have fire retardant labels attached.
If you’re on a tight budget or would like to purchase something unique then visit your local furniture reuse organisation, you’ll be amazed at the diversity and quality of goods on offer.
